Katazyna and Tzyrainth

Tzyrainth was the first night dragon to arrive at Dragon Soul Weyr. Well, she would be when she finished weyrling training at Ryslen, that was. The thing was, she knew she was the first. And this somehow made her feel really good. She strutted, she posed, she preened and she took every opportunity to tell everyone just how special she was.
Katazyna was mightily amused by all this.
It was the morning of a Restday - one in seven days when there was no classes or drills or duties - and the little dragon was taking advantage of their brief freedom.
Uh... honey? Katazyna prompted her bond as she began a strut around the Weyrlake anew.
Tzyrainth turned, eyes sparkling. For all her prim and proper appearances, she was still a child and enjoying being the centre of attention as much as she enjoyed making the biggest splash when she dove into the water. Yes, Zyna? The night green had taken to calling her rider Zyna because - or so she said - it sounded a little like Tzyra, her own nick name.
"Do you think you've done enough showing off for one morning?" Kat asked, switching to speech.
Tzyra blinked as if she couldn't understand the words. Pardon? she asked incredulously. You can't be serious! I am just playing to the audience, rider mine. You think I actually enjoy this sort of thing? Alas, no. But, I do have my fans to please. Amazingly, she actually sounded quite sincere.
For the first time, the girl wondered if her dragon was just a little nutty.
Actually, Tzyrainth replied to her rider's thoughts, I am quite dragon-flavoured.
There was a slight pause, during which Katazyna considered bursting out laughing, but instead, come out with, "I love you, you ridiculous beast. And you can show off as much as you like."
