J'danar and Nolandarth
[Statistics] [Candidate] [Hatchling]

A small blue dragon stalked. Much like a feline would stalk a rat. Except perhaps a little less graceful. And just a tad noisier.
The trundlebug turned in alarm and scurried away, leaving a small blue dragon - mid-step - blinking at the empty floor.
J'danar cracked a grin. "What on Pern are you doing, Andar?"
Nolandarth turned, looking a little sulky. Nuthin', he replied over-casually.
With a chuckle, the young rider reached down to give the blue a scratch. Nolandarth was a large blue, with hide a stunning pale sky blue colour - J'danar had never seen a dragon so pale. And so beautiful. "That's what I thought," he replied with a little shrug.
There was a silence for a long moment, during which Nolandarth squirmed slightly, his entire being begging for attention. Fine! he exploded at last. I'll tell you! He dramatised a large sigh. You didn't have to be so mean about it, though!
J'danar simply smiled, crossed his arms expectantly and waited.
Andar drew himself up, puffed out his chest and fluttered his premature wings behind him. I was hunting.
One eyebrow raised. "You were hunting," he repeated.
That's right. Got a problem with that? He'd drawn himself up to his full standing-height now, and was trying with all his might to look scary. It was the most adorable thing you've ever seen!
J'danar held up his hands innocently. "No, no problem!" He paused, then added under his breath, "I can't imagine the floor would taste too good, though."
Nolandarth bugled in alarm. Actually, it was more like a squeak. But that's not the point. There was a bug! A bug, I tell you! I wasn't chasing the floor! I wasn't!!
"Hey, hey, it's ok. I believe you. I was just stirring," the young man said with a fond laugh. He reached down to embrace the young dragon, shaking his head in disbelief. "You almost got this one, too."
The blue grinned draconically. I did, didn't I?
