H'las and Treyeth
[Statistics] [Candidate] [Hatchling] [Adult] [Frenzy]

Treyeth, a small green dragon, watched on with some trepidation as her young rider sat in a group of weyrlings, discussing something of great import.
She was a serious young dragon, and although only a few sevendays old, was already beginning to develop a certain loner's attitude. She loved H'las, she loved his attention, and she loved the beach. Other than that, her attitudes varied from shy to quietly interested to even a little scared.
Despite this, she was incredibly sweet. The other weyrlings allowed her her space because they loved her.
Finally the gathering ended and with a few laughs and claps, the weyrlings rose and joined their waiting lifemates.
H'las stopped a foot before green Treyeth and smiled a crooked smile. "Hey there."
Treyeth's eyes whirled a soft blue. You're back.
"Didya miss me?"
Naturally.
With a grin, H'las bent to embrace the young dragon he had fallen in love with - he realised with a start that Impression was merely love at first sight and smiled absently at the thought. "Hungry?"
Treyeth nodded. Naturally, she repeated with a demure look.
H'las rose and gestured for her to follow, heading towards the small kitchens adjoining the weyrling barracks.
Waddling along behind him, Treyeth asked much like a mother asks her son, What did you learn about in class today?
H'las shrugged. "Stuff."
A raised eyebrow. Stuff?
"Yeah. Dragonrider stuff."
Treyeth looked skywards with exasperation. Stuff like... she prompted meaningfully.
H'las grinned another lopsided grin. "Stuff like... Sexuality."
A cocked head. Sexuality? What's that?
The young man had figured out not long before Impressing green that he liked men as well as - or perhaps instead of - women. They were currently learning about Weyrlife combined with the various sexualities of dragonriders - such as male greenriders are usually homosexual. Although born in the Weyr, H'las had never really come across such things at close inspection and so was learning a lot about both the way the world worked and about himself. He wasn't certain about it all just yet, and so hadn't dared to experiment, but one day, it would certainly happen. "I'll tell you when you're older."
Treyeth made a face.
Turning, H'las blew her a kiss. "When you're older," he repeated. "Now. You hungry or not?"
