[Alone] [Together]

'My name is Arehath, and I am dragon-bonded. The moment I tasted the sweet air outside my egg I knew that there was no human there for me. There never would be. I remember feeling suddenly small and alone, unwanted and unnecessary. And then I felt her. Ferrath; a dragon, like me. There was such a poignant sadness echoing from within her, and I ached to fill the hole in that beautiful, fragile heart.

'And so, I chose her. And so, she chose me.

'I believe I have made her happier than she has been in a long time. Not since... She does not speak of her once-was-rider. It does not matter now, anyway. Now we have each other, and the past is the past, and all wounds will heal in time. And we have all the time in the world!'
